The Barebasement process

 

• Initial meeting in which a Barebasement representative accesses the basement size and condition. A discussion will be held on the general layout and finish objectives. 

• A follow-on meeting is scheduled at which time a cost is provided. 

• Upon a decision to proceed a blueprint is commissioned with a design fee of $500 required. This fee is non-refundable since design time is required to move to the next step however it will be applied as a deposit against the final project cost. 

• A final price is presented and the Barebasement project agreement is signed. 

• The project is scheduled in coordination with homeowner on access availability. 

• Permits are obtained from local government. 

• Construction begins with the framing of walls and bulkheads. 

• Mechancials are installed; Heating, Plumbing, Electrical. 

• Inspections are conducted. 

• Insulation. 

• Further inspections. 

• Drywall installation and finishes. 

• Optional finishes are installed. 

• Basement is cleaned.

• Final inspections. 

• Final homeowner inspection with construction manager.

• Project complete.
